Job summary

iHealth in Edina, MN seeks a part-time Certified/Registered Medical Assistant for 0.9 FTE. You will support OB/GYN services in exam rooms, record vital signs, draw blood, run in-house tests, and instruct patients per physician direction.

Ideal candidates hold CMA/RMA (AAMA/AMT), 1+ year clinic MA experience, and are willing to obtain an X-ray license. On-site role with a full benefits package and dedicated team.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a Medical Assistant Program or MLT program.
• AAMA or AMT certification, or willingness to become certified.
• 1+ years of Medical Assistant experience in a clinic setting.
• Willing to train Medical Assistant that has completed externship.
• X-ray license or willingness to obtain limited scope x-ray license (Bone Density scans preferred).

Responsibilities

• Verify patient information by interviewing patient and recording medical history.
• Measure vital signs and document in patient chart.
• Obtain blood specimens by venipuncture and finger sticks.
• Perform in-house testing (UA, Hemoglobin, glucose, stool ICT).
• Assist physician and physician assistant in exam rooms.
• Provide patient instructions as directed by physician or NP.
• Ensure all reports and labs are filed in medical records before appointment.
• Maintain exam rooms with supplies and sterilization.
• Maintain logs and required checks (refrigerator temps, emergency meds, etc.).
• Other duties as assigned.
