Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers and deliver high-quality patient care on the day shift in Ohio. You’ll welcome patients, document histories and vitals, assist with exams and procedures, and help coordinate care across teams.

In this role you’ll administer medications and tests as directed, communicate results and instructions, and provide education to patients and families to improve health outcomes. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; completion of accredited MA program and externship/internship; EMT/Paramedic or Athletic Trainer training acceptable.
• Certification as Medical Assistant via CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA or CMA not required if not yet credentialed.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Document patient histories, vitals, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement and disease management programs.
