Job summary

Square Care Medical Group, LLP in partnership with Unified Women’s Healthcare New York is seeking a Medical Assistant for our OBGYN practice on-site. The MA will perform administrative and clinical tasks, assist physicians, take vital signs, draw blood, and manage lab samples, ensuring a high-quality patient experience.

The role involves scheduling, EMR documentation, inventory management, and patient communication to support efficient clinic operations and patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program from an accredited institution.
• At least one year of experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escorts patients to exam rooms.
• Greets patients warmly and professionally and communicates clearly.
• Measures and records patient vital signs.
• Obtains and processes blood or lab samples.
• Performs point of care testing, including NST, pregnancy test, urinalysis.
• Follows EMR guidelines and documents information.
