Job summary

Pinewest OB-GYN, a busy women's health practice, seeks a compassionate Medical Assistant to support exams and patient flow in our clinic. You will collect vitals, prepare patients, and assist clinicians with procedures under supervision.

Responsibilities include laboratory procedures, immunizations, chart updates, and referrals coordination. Strong communication, teamwork, and basic computer skills with EMR experience are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform routine and complex technical skills within the Medical Assistant scope of practice after demonstrated competency.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to develop rapport and maintain positive, professional relationships with a variety of patients, team members and physicians.
• Proficient computer skills including keyboarding, navigation within a Windows operating system, and use of electronic mail with exposure to electronic medical records systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and rooms the patient for exam by obtaining vital signs and gathering health information.
• Performs laboratory procedures using aseptic technique and infection control guidelines.
• Assists physicians with procedures such as pelvic exams and testing.
• Administers routine medications under orders or standing protocols.
• Refer questions to RNs and physicians; communicate updates to patients.
• Ensure smooth clinic flow and accurate information exchange with patients.
