Job summary

The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at New York-Presbyterian Alexandra Cohen Hospital for Women and Newborns seeks a full-time Laborist at the rank of Assistant Professor of Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology. The role includes in-house coverage, oversight of labor floor, antepartum/postpartum inpatients, and gynecologic consults, with a focus on teaching and quality initiatives.

Qualified candidates must have an MD, complete an ACGME OB/GYN residency, and be board eligible or certified.

Qualifications

• Medical degree and eligibility to practice in New York.
• Completion of a 4-year ACGME-accredited obstetrics and gynecology residency.
• Board eligible or board certified in obstetrics and gynecology.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-house obstetrical physician coverage and clinical oversight for labor floor patients.
• Cover and supervise antepartum and postpartum inpatients.
• Supervise gynecologic consults, including cases requiring surgical management.
• Serve as Attending for Physician Assistants.
• Participate in continuing medical education and department quality initiatives.
