AtlantiCare in Egg Harbor Township, NJ is seeking an OB/GYN Laborist to provide 24/7 inpatient obstetric care, including labor management and deliveries. The role supports hospital coverage and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate will have an MD/DO with OB/GYN residency, board certification or eligibility, and a NJ medical license. This full-time position offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for leadership in quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a 4-year OB/GYN residency program.
• Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Valid state medical license and DEA registration.
• Advanced training in high-risk obstetrics or maternal-fetal medicine is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct inpatient obstetric care, including labor management, deliveries (vaginal and cesarean), and postpartum care.
• Perform obstetric triage evaluations and respond to obstetric emergencies.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, midwives, and other physicians to ensure coordinated, high-quality care.
• Cover for community OB/GYNs who are unavailable during their patients’ labor.
• Educate residents, medical students, and nursing staff as needed.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and help develop labor and delivery protocols.
