Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General seeks an Ob/Gyn Hospitalist for the New Life Center, a Level 3 Perinatal Center performing ~1800 deliveries per year. The role balances clinical duties with academic responsibilities and supervision of residents.

The hospitalist will oversee OB/GYN services across the ED, Labor and Delivery, and perinatal safety, coordinating with Maternal-Fetal Medicine for transfers and providing back-up coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology with clinical experience.
• Experience supporting hospital-based obstetrical and acute gynecologic care.
• Experience supervising residents and medical students is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise OB/GYN residents and medical students.
• Oversee care in Obstetric ED, Labor and Delivery, and perinatal safety.
• Collaborate with Maternal-Fetal Medicine for transfers and back-up coverage.
• Provide emergency obstetric/gynecologic care until a private attending is at bedside.
