This OB GYN Hospitalist position is primarily based at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center (LEMC) and Randall Children’s Hospital (RCH) in Portland, Oregon. Opportunities for coverage at other sites within the Legacy system may also be available.

The OB/GYN Hospitalist program at RCH/LEMC supports inpatient needs of the Legacy Medical Group (LMG) Maternal Fetal Medicine service. The role includes collaboration with MFM providers, support for private practice OB/GYN colleagues, and coverage for emergencies and inpatient gynecologic issues. RCH features a Level IV NICU and serves high-risk pregnancies, with 24/7 in-house anesthesia and academic residents on rotation. No outpatient clinic duties are required.

Shifts are either 12 or 24 hours, with some flexibility. Weekend and holiday shifts are rotated evenly among staff. The FTE can be flexible (0.6-1.0) based on your preferences.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Graduate of a four-year U.S. Medical School or equivalent with OB/GYN residency completed
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB-GYN
• Unrestricted license to practice in Oregon and Washington
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Bilingual skills are a plus

Procedures/Skills

• Full OB scope including low and high-risk pregnancies, NSVD, operative delivery, cesarean, VBAC, and management of obstetric emergencies
• Gynecology procedures such as D&C, laparoscopy, adnexal surgeries, tubal ligation
