Exciting opportunity to join the inaugural Ascension Seton OB Hospitalist group in Austin, Texas!

As we prepare for the grand opening of our state-of-the art Ascension Seton Women's Hospital – a facility designed to deliver comprehensive patient-centered care across the spectrum of women's health – we are establishing a dedicated Obstetric Hospitalist Program. This team will enhance safety, continuity, and patient satisfaction through 24/7 on-site obstetric coverage at 2 sites and weekend coverage at a third site.

The Obstetric Hospitalist will provide round-the-clock inpatient obstetric care, ensuring immediate availability for labor and delivery triage, emergent obstetric events, and inpatient consultations. The ideal candidate is a board-certified/board-eligible OB/GYN who thrives in a fast paced environment and is committed to delivering high quality, evidence based care.

Position Highlights:

• 3 site choices – Ascension Seton Women's Hospital, Ascension Seton Medical Center Williamson, and Dell Children's Medical Center Special Delivery Unit
• Flexible scheduling models available including 12 or 24-hour shifts
• Full-time, part-time or PRN available
• Anticipated commitment of service: Dell Children's Medical Center – 24/7, 7 days/week; Ascension Seton Medical Center Williamson – Friday, 5pm to Monday, 8am; Ascension Seton Women's Hospital – 7pm to 7am weekdays, Friday, 7pm to Monday, 7am
• Compensation per hour determined by acuity level of the patients: Ascension Seton Women's Hospital – 200/hr; Ascension Seton Medical Center Williamson – 180/hr; Dell Children's Medical Center – 150/hr

Additional Requirements

• Completion of an accredited residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology
• Board Certified or Board Eligible by ABOG
• Current Texas medical license (or eligibility) and DEA registration by start date
• Prior experience as an OB hospitalist or in high-acuity obstetrics preferred but not required

What minimum requirements you’ll need

• Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Texas Medical Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required
