Job summary

Wilson Health in Troy, Ohio seeks a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer for part-time, 24 hours weekly. You will perform ultrasound exams, ensure patient comfort, and collaborate with physicians for accurate diagnoses.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.
• Current ARDMS certification preferred or required based on facility standards.
• Experience with MFM ultrasound protocols, high-risk obstetric imaging, fetal assessment, and detailed fetal anatomy examinations is preferred.
• Experience working closely with Maternal‑Fetal Medicine physicians and other members of a multidisciplinary care team is preferred.
• State licensure may be required depending on location.
• Strong technical, analytical, and communication skills.
• Commitment to patient care, safety, and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures, producing high-quality images for physician interpretation.
• Explain imaging procedures to patients to create a calm environment.
• Prepare and maintain ultrasound equipment with proper calibration and safety.
• Operate ultrasound equipment to capture images of organs, tissues, and blood flow.
• Review patient medical history to determine imaging techniques and protocols.
• Analyze images for quality and diagnostic suitability.
• Identify normal versus abnormal findings and communicate preliminary observations to physicians.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to provide high-quality images and observations.
