Job summary

VICTORIA WOMEN'S CLINIC ASSOCIATES in Victoria, Texas is seeking a full-time Diagnostic Medical Sonographer specializing in OB/GYN to provide high-quality ultrasound imaging to support patient care.

The ideal candidate will perform obstetric and gynecologic exams, document findings in EMR/EHR, and collaborate with physicians while ensuring patient comfort and safety. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; hourly rate will be determined based on experience and credentials.

Qualifications

• ARDMS certification in OB/GYN.
• Experience in OB/GYN ultrasound is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of obstetric and gynecologic anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Proficiency with ultrasound equipment and the ability to obtain accurate, diagnostic-quality images.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals to ensure clear understanding of procedures and findings.
• Experience in using EMR/EHR systems for accurate clinical documentation.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with physicians and health care members.
• Knowledge of patient safety, infection-control, and appropriate aseptic techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in obstetrics and gynecology, following established protocols and standards of care.
• Prepare patients for ultrasound examinations by explaining procedures, ensuring comfort, and maintaining a professional and caring demeanor.
• Accurately document findings using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to interpret images and relay critical findings promptly.
• Maintain patient safety and follow appropriate infection-control and aseptic techniques.
• Maintain proficiency in ultrasound technology, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to OB/GYN imaging.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality is required.
