Job summary

Community Health Centers of the Central Coast, Inc. seeks a Chief Physician of OB/GYN to lead obstetric and gynecologic services across CHC clinics. The role combines executive governance with ongoing clinical practice and oversight of on-call scheduling.

The position reports to the Chief Medical Officer and requires MD/DO with OB/GYN residency, population health leadership experience, and a track record in medical administration. Compliance and quality improvement are central to the role.

Qualifications

• Medical Doctor Degree (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of a residency training program in the field of OB/GYN required.
• Master’s in Public Health, MBA or MA preferred but not required.
• CME to remain current in Medical and Management areas.
• Five years of clinical experience in the practice of medicine, two of which have been in Medical Administration.
• Three to five years of management and/or clinical experience in a managed care environment.
• Any equivalent of education and experience, approved by CHC management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee OB/GYN services and on-call schedules.
• Provide Governance and Performance management of direct reports including Peer Review and disciplinary actions.
• Rounds on and advocate for providers on clinical and practice issues.
• Direct OB/GYN service operations and admin functions such as on-call schedules and staff evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with legal and accreditation requirements.
