Job summary

Community Health Centers of the Central Coast, Inc. (CHC) seeks a Primary Care Physician to provide comprehensive primary care under the direction of the Chief Medical Officer, with independent responsibility for professional results.

The role requires an MD/DO with residency in Family Practice/IM/OB-GYN/Pediatrics, board certification or eligibility, and a California license. Bilingual English/Spanish is desirable; HIPAA compliance and team-based care are essential.

Qualifications

• Medical Doctor Degree (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) from an accredited medical school.
• Residency in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, OB/GYN or Pediatrics; board certified or board eligible.
• Current unrestricted California medical license and DEA license are required; ACLS, PALS and BLS-C certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Secures and evaluates patient health history and records findings.
• Performs physical examinations and assesses normal vs. abnormal findings.
• Provides routine exams, diagnostic services, and treatment of illnesses and emergencies.
• Adheres to medical ethics and ensures quality of care for all patients.
• Shares on-call duties with other medical staff.
• Maintains HIPAA and patient confidentiality; adheres to safety policies.
