Job summary

iRecruitmd in San Jose, CA seeks an Ob/Gyn physician to provide outpatient gynecologic and obstetric care, prenatal and education services in a patient-centered environment. You will evaluate, diagnose, treat, educate, and refer, while overseeing midlevel staff.

The role requires CA medical license, Ob/Gyn residency, board status, and flexibility with evenings/weekends. Sign-on bonus is offered and comprehensive benefits provided.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of accredited Ob/Gyn residency.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ob/Gyn (must achieve certification within 2 years if BE).
• Current California medical license and DEA registration.
• Current BLS certification (AHA approved).
• Background check required.
• Preferred: 1 year of experience, community/public health background, bilingual Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient GYN, prenatal, and post-partum care including exams, diagnosis, treatment, follow-up, and health education.
• Serve as a consultant for Ob/Gyn cases referred by other providers.
• Educate patients and families about preventive care, diagnosis, treatments, and medications.
• Request referrals for labs, tests, and specialty services as needed.
• Maintain accurate, confidential medical records in compliance with regulations.
• Support EHR documentation and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
• Supervise and provide medical backup to Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners.
• Participate in program planning, protocol development, and in-service training for staff.
• Support medical interns and student professionals as needed.
• Flexible scheduling required, including occasional evenings and weekends.
