Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a DC Trainer – Process to lead onboarding for distribution center staff in picking, packing, and shipping processes. You will train on industrial equipment, conduct retraining, and collaborate with CI on new processes.

You’ll create and maintain training materials, deliver classroom and on-the-floor instruction, and help drive continuous improvement across shifts and teams. The role requires strong organization, adaptability, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Basic math skills and basic computer skills (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Read and explain order information and work instructions.
• Provide direct hands-on training on DC work instructions.
• Maintain training log.
• Conduct new hire orientations.
• Promote 5S and Safety.
• Adapt to change and handle other tasks as assigned.
• Assist with training material preparation.
• Assist with classroom onboarding and training.
• Support additional training duties as needed.
• Support other shifts if necessary.

Your Role On Our Team

The DC Trainer is responsible for training all new distribution center employees in processes of picking, packing, and shipping. DC Trainer is responsible for industrial equipment training, re-training, and code roll training. DC Trainer works with Continuous Improvement team on new process or process change.

You’ll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:

• Read and comprehend order information and work instructions
• Provides direct hands‑on training and instruction concerning work instructions utilized in the distribution center
• Maintains training log
• Conducts new hire orientations
• Practice 5S and Safety
• Able to react to change effectively and handle other tasks as assigned
• Assist with preparation of Training Material
• Assist with Classroom On‑boarding and Training
• Flexibility to perform and execute on additional training duties assigned
• Flexibility to support other shifts if necessary

The TOOLS You’ll Bring With You

• High School or GED diploma required
• Excellent organizational skills and time management skills required
• Must possess basic math and basic computer skills in Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
• High attention to detail
• Ability to perform work per instructions and within reasonable time
• Knowledge of all distribution center functions pick, pack, receive and ship product
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills

Other TOOLS We Prefer You To Have

• High Jump Experience is preferred but not required
• Training Experience or Leadership experience is preferred but not required

Working Conditions:

Manufacturing Plant

• Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling of tools and boxes?
• Standing for long periods of time, as well as repetitive motion
• Operation of a manual pallet jack, and various Powered Industrial Trucks (forklifts, pallet trucks, rider trucks, fork trucks, or lift trucks)
• Able to work in various temperature conditions
