Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center in Westwood, NJ is seeking a day shift, full-time Labor and Delivery Certified Surgical Tech (CST) to join the team. The role supports obstetric procedures, patient prep, and instrument handling within a modern maternity center.

The position requires a CST certification, high school diploma or GED, and BLS within 14 days of hire. Prior OB scrub tech experience is preferred, with opportunities for growth and hands-on training.

Qualifications

• High School or GED equivalent.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Good knowledge and understanding of patient flow through L&D.
• Instrument handling, cleaning, OR circulation for OB.

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient care and preparation of surgical patients by performing routine duties.
• Perform scrub duties and related procedures.
• Circulating duties under the RN circulator.
• Assist with cleaning and maintenance of supplies and equipment.
• Function in advanced roles of preceptor, service specialist, and instrument room liaison.
