Job summary

METHODIST MANSFIELD MEDICAL CENTER is seeking an OB/GYN coder for the Dallas area. The role begins on site for training (minimum three weeks) with subsequent remote work from a Dallas Campus location.

You will code CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 for professional services, focusing on maternal fetal medicine and OB/GYN specialties. Applicants must hold CPC/CCS-P, with COBGC preferred, and have 2+ years of coding experience or 1 year plus 2 years of HCC background.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree is a plus.
• Two years of professional coding experience or one year plus two years of HCC experience.
• Strong knowledge of CMS manuals, federal guidelines, coding policies.
• Experience with electronic medical records (Epic preferred).

Responsibilities

• Review charges and assign CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10 codes with modifiers and units for professional services.
• Read and interpret medical records for OB/GYN procedures and related services.
• Research coding inquiries and educate providers on coding and documentation.
• Maintain high coding accuracy and meet department production targets.
