Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center Inc is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Med/Surg, Acute Care unit on a full-time night shift. A sign-on bonus of up to $20,000 is available for qualified candidates. CMH offers comprehensive benefits and a commitment to staff development.

The role requires nursing licensure, BLS, ACLS, and preferably BSN. Experience in acute care and ventilator management is beneficial. Employment status is Full Time with Nights shift in Lewiston, ME.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse delivers safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Communicates with physician about changes in patient condition, including monitoring, diagnostic results and symptomatology.
