Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Detroit seeks a Physician to deliver comprehensive medical services across inpatient and outpatient settings at the Moross Road campus, serving Detroit's east side and surrounding communities.

You will coordinate patient care with case management, participate in medical education and research, ensure accurate documentation for insurance, and contribute to cost‑effective, high‑quality care for a diverse patient population.

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid medical license to practice in Michigan.
• Board certification or eligibility in relevant specialty.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients using appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills.
• Coordinate discharge planning with case management to ensure seamless patient care transitions.
• Recommend and participate in initiatives to improve cost-effectiveness and quality of care.
• Accept patient referrals from other physicians and act as admitting, attending, and/or consulting physician for hospitalized patients.
• Participate in academic programs, including medical education and research, as requested.
• Provide accurate documentation to meet insurance requirements and appeal denials promptly.
