Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Detroit is seeking a Physician to join our Moross Road campus on Detroit's east side. You will deliver high-quality medical care, collaborate with families and healthcare teams, and contribute to patient outcomes across inpatient and outpatient settings.

The role emphasizes comprehensive care, documentation for insurance, and participation in academic programs and research. Valid Michigan license and board certification in a relevant specialty are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients using appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills.
• Coordinate discharge planning with case management to ensure seamless patient care transitions.
• Recommend and participate in initiatives to improve cost-effectiveness and quality of care.
• Accept patient referrals from other physicians and act as admitting, attending, and/or consulting physician for hospitalized patients.
• Participate in academic programs, including medical education and research, as requested.
• Provide thorough documentation to meet insurance requirements and appeal denials promptly.
