Job summary

The Pennant Group, Inc. is seeking an OASIS Reviewer who analyzes data integrity and consistency of OASIS documentation and assessment processes under the supervision of the Coding and OASIS Manager of Synergy Shared Services.

This role collaborates with agencies within the scope of work to ensure accurate and reliable documentation. The incumbent will review assessments prospectively, consult with clinical staff to resolve data issues, monitor for utilization, and support quality improvement

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of the OASIS process.
• Understanding of federal regulations and state licensure requirements for home health.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently while collaborating in a team.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer skills to utilize Microsoft Outlook and agency systems.
• Understanding of the regulatory framework governing the home health industry.
• Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Prospectively review all OASIS assessments for completeness and compliance.
• Utilize OASIS variation or alert reports when reviewing data.
• Consult with clinical staff to clarify data integrity issues and coordinate corrections.
• Review visit utilization for appropriateness of care and report potential losses.
• Notify managers of problematic trends from OASIS reviews.
• Participate in Quality Improvement and Corporate Compliance activities.
• Assist with other chart audit activities as assigned.
• Maintain professional knowledge by attending workshops and reviewing publications.
• Understand and demonstrate CAPLICO values.
• Other duties and special projects as assigned.
