Production Supervisor

Full‑Time – 3rd Shift.

General Function

The Production Supervisor is responsible for the day‑to‑day activities within the assigned area for safety, quality, and production. Focus and determination are critical to finding the right solutions and tools to address root cause.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervises the job performance of employees on the assigned shift, ensuring their work runs on schedule and meets company standards for safety, quality, production, and waste.
  • Completes the production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishes work results; establishes priorities; monitors progress; revises schedules; resolves problems; reports results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
  • Develops and implements action plans to meet department goals in the areas of labor efficiency, labor utilization, housekeeping, and productivity improvements.
  • Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answers questions and responds to requests.
  • Works on continuous improvement projects.
  • Collaborates with engineering and maintenance departments to modify processes and equipment to improve production and quality of products.
  • Performs regular daily audits of key processes to ensure optimum process performance.
  • Measures and evaluates employee performance according to company standards for quality, productivity, and career advancement.
  • Ensures adequate distribution of skills to enable the production plan to be achieved effectively.
  • Builds leads and the production employee skill set to create a cross‑functional workforce and increase efficiencies.
  • Stimulates teamwork within the department, creating a fair and positive environment that fosters a solid work ethic and maintains a good team attitude.
  • Maintains a safe work environment and leads activities to communicate and maintain adherence to company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 3+ years of manufacturing or equivalent work experience.
  • Some exposure to a manufacturing/distribution environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability.
  • Proven track record of individual accomplishment, contribution, and team‑based success.
  • Effective communication and organizational skills.
  • Creative and innovative problem solver; able to provide ideas for technical and/or organizational improvements.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects.
  • MS Office and ability to learn other systems (SAP).
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Self‑motivated with a high sense of urgency, resourcefulness, and adaptability.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience.
Pay Range

$70,230.50 – $106,404.52.

Benefits

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills, and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, a competitive bonus and/or commission plan may be offered to complement the first‑class total rewards package. Benefits may include health care, retirement savings, paid time off/vacation, and various employee discounts.
