Job summary

Flanigan's Enterprises in Oakland Park, FL is seeking a friendly host/hostess to welcome guests as the first smiling face of the restaurant and help manage seating with warm hospitality.

You will greet guests, escort them to tables, manage the wait list, answer questions, and maintain a clean foyer and host stand. Fluency in English, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and compliance with Florida food safety standards are required. Competitive benefits offered.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests with a warm and welcoming demeanor
• Assists guests to tables and manages seating flow
• Maintains foyer and host/hostess station clean and organized
• Manages Wait List efficiently and communicates with staff
• Answers inquiries and directs guests to proper staff
• Concludes visit with same courteous demeanor and thanks guests
• Performs shift changes, opening/closing duties, and side work

Overview

You’re the first smiling face our guests see every time they enter a Flanigan’s, and likely the last as they go on their merry way. You set the tone for the entire experience, greeting all of our friends and family in a warm and welcoming way. You help usher guests to their tables, manage the flow of seating, field inquiries, and greet people on the way out, just as nicely as on the way in. We’re always looking for the most friendly, hospitable people to join the team.

Responsibilities

• Displays and maintains a cheerful and courteous temperament, as well as displays a neat and clean professional image
• Greets guests with Flanigan’s "Smile Talk"
• Engages guests in Flanigan’s "Smile Talk" while escorting them to table in a timely manner
• Efficiently manages the Wait List for seating
• Communicates guest’s questions or concerns to Manager on duty
• Keeps foyer, host/hostess station, wait area clean and free of debris, restocks and cleans menus
• Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guest
• Answers telephone within 4 rings, and answers guests’ questions, and/or directs guests to proper staff member
• Conclude guests’ visit with Flanigan’s "Smile Talk"
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework

Qualifications

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
