Job summary

Metasys Technologies seeks a hands-on software developer to design, integrate, and test software for O-RAN and Beyond 5G systems, including xApps and rApps. You will work directly with software-defined radios and wireless testbeds, moving concepts from whiteboard to working prototypes.

The role emphasizes real-time and near-real-time wireless applications, API development across wireless, ML, cybersecurity, and network-management components, plus lab testing, demos, and documentation. U.S.

Qualifications

Hands-on knowledge of O-RAN/5G technologies, architectures, or systems.
Experience developing or integrating software for wireless communications systems.
Strong programming proficiency in C, C++, and Python.
Experience developing, debugging, and testing software in Linux.
U.S. person status, including U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents (green card holders), with ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and test software for O-RAN and NextG wireless systems, including xApps and rApps.
Integrate software with SDRs, wireless testbeds, and embedded/RF hardware.
Build and maintain real-time and near-real-time wireless applications.
Develop APIs connecting wireless, ML, cybersecurity, and network-management components.
Support system integration, lab testing, demos, and technical evaluations.
Troubleshoot software, RF, and hardware-in-the-loop issues.
Document designs, test procedures, and results; contribute to technical reports and publications as needed.
