Job summary

Motive Energy is seeking an O&M Performance Coordinator in California to monitor multiple portal platforms (PowerTrack, SolarEdge, SMA) and identify faults that cause production loss for our O&M portfolio.

You will initiate customer-facing quotes, coordinate with Service Manager to schedule technicians, and work with field staff to request RMAs while troubleshooting remotely. Strong solar operations experience and analytic mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in commercial & industrial solar with hands-on exposure to O&M operations.
• Advanced understanding of multiple monitoring platforms, including PowerTrack, SolarEdge, and SMA.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose faults remotely.
• Highly detail-oriented and organized, capable of managing a high volume of concurrent cases.
• Clear written and verbal communication for customer-facing quotes and notifications.

The O&M Performance Coordinator is responsible for monitoring multiple portal platforms — including PowerTrack, SolarEdge, and SMA — to identify faults that trigger production loss across Motive Energy's O&M customer portfolio. This role initiates customer-facing quotes for system issues, schedules technicians once quotes are approved, and works closely with field technicians to request RMAs and troubleshoot remotely. The ideal candidate brings strong commercial & industrial solar background, advanced fluency across multiple monitoring platforms, and an interest in applying AI tools to make monitoring and client communication faster and more consistent.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor multiple portal platforms (PowerTrack, SolarEdge, SMA, and others) daily to identify faults and alarms that trigger production loss for O&M customers.
• Diagnose root cause of flagged issues and determine appropriate next steps, escalating to field technicians as needed.
• Initiate and prepare quotes for customers with identified system issues, coordinating pricing and scope with the Service Manager.
• Schedule technicians to visit sites once customer quotes are approved.
• Partner with field technicians to request RMAs and troubleshoot equipment issues remotely.
• Track open cases, quotes, and RMAs to closure, ensuring timely follow-up and accurate status reporting.
• Identify and initiate T&M (time & materials) opportunities based on monitoring findings.
• Alert customers proactively to potential or developing production failures.
• Explore and apply AI tools to build agents or workflows that expedite monitoring reports and automate client notifications.
• Maintain detailed, organized records of site performance, open issues, and communication history across the portfolio.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in commercial & industrial (C&I) solar, with hands‑on exposure to O&M operations.
• Advanced understanding of multiple monitoring portal platforms, including PowerTrack, SolarEdge, and SMA.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose system faults remotely.
• Highly detail‑oriented and organized, with the ability to manage a high volume of concurrent cases.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for customer‑facing quote and notification correspondence.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with AI tools and agent‑building platforms to automate monitoring reports and client notifications.
• Experience preparing customer‑facing quotes or working alongside a service/sales team.
• Experience with RMA processes and OEM warranty coordination.

Pay: $34 - $40/hr
