We are seeking a talented CFO to join our executive team to help achieve our long-term goals set by our Board of Directors and owners, KIRKBI, the private holding and investment company of the Kirk Kristiansen family, dedicated to building a sustainable future for the LEGO brand and making the world a better place for future LEGO builders.

Overview

This position will work within our O&M team, part of our Asset Management division, responsible for the technical management of a growing portfolio of utility-scale renewable energy projects across the United States (currently 330 MW). The team manages operations to optimize performance. The role reports to the Director of O&M Services.

Core Responsibilities

  1. Monitor projects and coordinate repairs with O&M contractors.
  2. Work with equipment suppliers for warranty support and issue resolution.
  3. Review project designs for O&M suitability and provide feedback.
  4. Coordinate procurement of parts and services.
  5. Manage spare parts inventories and recommend improvements.
  6. Share lessons learned with relevant teams.
  7. Assist technicians in troubleshooting and solution formulation.
  8. Support third-party troubleshooters for complex issues.
  9. Track issues and update work orders, considering fiscal impacts.
  10. Oversee site production and support monitoring teams.
  11. Assist in creating and maintaining annual operating budgets.
  12. Issue work orders with specific scopes.
  13. Maintain technical reports and performance assessments.
  14. Provide remote troubleshooting support for tracker and sensor issues.
  15. Manage contractors for vegetation, site maintenance, and connectivity issues.
  16. Support the commissioning and onboarding of new projects.
  17. Periodic travel may be required.

Qualifications and Experience

  1. At least 3 years of experience in solar energy, preferably utility-scale.
  2. Experience in solar installation, construction, and O&M, including troubleshooting various equipment components.
  3. Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail skills.
  4. Proficiency with MS Office, web-based software like PowerFactors, Radian Lens, and Salesforce.
  5. Ability to work independently and proactively.
  6. Experience with battery energy storage systems is a plus.
