Job summary

Chemours in Louisville is seeking an Operations & Maintenance Engineer - Maintenance Coordinator to optimize maintenance planning and execution for our Louisville Works site. You will coordinate daily schedules, resources, and communications to ensure safety, quality, and reliability while upholding PSM and site standards.

The role requires a 2+ year background in chemical manufacturing, a relevant engineering degree, and proficiency with SEEQ and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in chemical manufacturing.
• Proactive approach with digital tools like SEEQ, Power BI and MS Office.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to work extended hours as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate daily and weekly maintenance planning and scheduling meetings with Operations.
• Convert maintenance notifications into work orders and track backlogs.
• Review, authorize, and prioritize work orders and monthly PM items.
• Set work order priorities and develop detailed maintenance schedules.
• Coordinate LOTO communications and equipment decontamination.
• Maintain proactive communication with Production and Maintenance teams and escalate tasks as needed.
• Promote compliance with MOC, PSM, and other safety/process standards.
• Drive continuous improvement in planning, execution, and preventive maintenance strategies.
• Serve as Turnaround coordinator, leading pre-turnaround meetings and TAR planning.
