O’Brien Auto Team in Normal, IL invites motivated individuals to start their career as an Entry-Level Automotive Technician. You’ll learn hands-on alongside experienced technicians, performing basic maintenance and light repairs, with paid factory and ASE training to advance your skills.

You’ll join a team that values growth, reliability, and strong work ethics. The position is full-time, with a schedule that offers no weekends, and opportunities for advancement into higher technician levels.

Qualifications

• A desire to learn, grow and work as part of a team.
• Basic automotive knowledge or 1+ year of experience (dealership experience a plus)
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• A valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Responsibilities

• Performing basic maintenance and light repairs (fluid exchanges, brake work, suspension service, etc.)
• Inspecting vehicles and reporting any additional service needs
• Communicating with the service team about parts, timelines, and recommendations
• Documenting all work performed accurately
• Road-testing vehicles to ensure quality repairs
• Keeping workspace and customers’ vehicles clean and organized
• Participating in paid factory and ASE training to advance your career

What You’ll Do

As an Entry-Level Automotive Technician, you’ll work alongside experienced professionals and receive hands-on training to build your skills. Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Performing basic maintenance and light repairs (fluid exchanges, brake work, suspension service, etc.)


• Inspecting vehicles and reporting any additional service needs


• Communicating with the service team about parts, timelines, and recommendations
