Job summary

Family of Kidz is hiring for a part-time, hourly position aligned with the school calendar on Long Island, NY. The role involves providing instructional support to students under supervision, preparing materials, and applying basic behavior strategies to support learning.

Ideal candidates will hold TA certification levels I-III or be in Pre-Professional training, with a High School Diploma or equivalent; associates degree preferred; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Teaching Assistant Certification Levels I-III or Pre-Professional training required/desired.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; an Associates degree preferred.
• Experience with children on the autism spectrum is a plus; bilingual ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional services and support to students under the supervision of a certified teacher.
• Help prepare teaching materials and environment to support instruction.
• Familiarity with basic behavior intervention strategies and principles; maintain data collection.

Education

• Hours: Monday-Friday During School Hours.
• Compensation: $25-27/Hour

Responsibilities:

• Provide instructional services and support to students under the supervision of a certified teacher
• Help prepare teaching materials and environment to support instruction
• Familiarity with basic behavior intervention strategies and principles
• Participate in maintaining data collection to ensure success of academic and behavioral plans.
• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with children and staff.
• Possibility of assisting in managing the behaviors of students and crisis intervention .
