RZAPS - Ricardo Zurita Architecture & Planning seeks a capable architect with 5–8 years of professional experience, ideally in NYC. The role involves taking substantial daily responsibility for design and documentation, collaborating with the Principal, and guiding junior staff in a small-office setting.

You will contribute to all project phases, from design development through construction administration, with emphasis on coordination with consultants and client meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's (5-year) or Master's Degree in Architecture
• Approx. 5–8 years of professional architectural experience
• Strong experience producing and coordinating Construction Documents
• Strong BIM and AutoCAD skills; ArchiCAD a plus
• Good understanding of architectural detailing and building construction
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a small-office environment
• Fluent English-language writing and communication skills
• NYC project experience strongly preferred
• Experience with NYC public-agency projects (DDC/SCA) a plus
• Construction administration experience strongly preferred
• Architecture license in NYS a plus, but not required

Responsabilités

• Design Development and Construction Documents
• Coordination of drawings with structural, MEP and other consultants
• Preparation and coordination of specifications
• Construction administration: review of submittals, RFIs and field conditions
• Managing project schedules and meeting deadlines
• Quality control of drawings and documents
• Participation in client and consultant meetings
• Coordination of agency submissions and approvals
• Day-to-day organization and follow-through on assigned projects
• Assisting in directing and coordinating junior staff when appropriate
