Job summary

Just Right Reader, NYC-based, is seeking a Partnerships Director with strong instructional leadership background to drive district-level literacy partnerships. You will engage district leaders, translate their needs into Just Right Reader solutions, and expand our regional presence through events and strategic collaborations.

You will travel within the five boroughs daily, build durable relationships, and manage the full sales cycle from outreach to signed agreements while collaborating with

Qualifications

• 3+ years as instructional coach or district/school administrator (e.g., principal, assistant principal, or assistant superintendent).
• Strong understanding of foundational literacy and the science of reading.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment and collaborate with a team.

Responsibilities

• Own the full sales cycle from first conversation through signed agreement.
• Build strong, trusted relationships with NYC school and district leaders.
• Generate new opportunities by identifying leads, making outreach, and developing a robust pipeline.
• Deeply understand local literacy priorities, funding sources, and district goals to position Just Right Reader as the right solution.
• Represent Just Right Reader at regional conferences, events, and meetings with decision-makers.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth handoff and successful long-term implementation.
• Consistently meet or exceed sales goals.
