Job summary

CodeGreen, a Pinchin company, seeks a NYC Licensed Asbestos Investigator to support environmental consulting projects across New York City and the surrounding region. You will conduct ACM surveys, hazard assessments, and document findings while coordinating with project teams and clients.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of asbestos inspection experience, NYC DEP certification, and strong drawing-reading skills. Travel across the NYC metro area is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Environmental Science or related field.
• 5+ years of asbestos inspection/environmental consulting experience.
• Current NYC DEP Asbestos Investigator Certification and NYSDOL Asbestos Inspector Certificate.
• Experience with NYC ACP-5 investigations and documentation.
• Ability to read architectural and construction drawings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform asbestos surveys and hazard assessments across NYC and surrounding regions.
• Identify suspect asbestos-containing materials and collect representative samples.
• Document sample locations, material conditions, and field observations.
• Prepare field notes, photographs, and sample logs for reports.
• Coordinate with project teams and clients and support NYC regulatory filings.
• Ensure accurate, defensible documentation and timely project delivery.
