Job summary

NTC Language Services is seeking in-person Educational Interpreters for Nepali in NYC. This part-time, as-needed role involves interpreting between English and Nepali at school-based settings, with assignments in NYC, NY. Flexibility and reliability are essential as there is no guaranteed number of hours.

Interpreters will support students, families, and school staff, traveling to assignments when needed. Strong language skills and professionalism are required, with experience in education

Qualifications

• Read, write, and speak proficiently in English and Nepali.
• Reliable, professional, and punctual for in-person assignments.
• Prior interpreting experience preferred but not required; experience in education is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Interpret accurately between English and Nepali during meetings.
• Attend parent-teacher conferences and school meetings in NYC.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
