NYC Construction Internship: Real Field Engineer Experience

Job summary

Monadnock Construction is offering an on-site internship in New York City for current engineering or construction management students. You will work closely with Field and Project Engineers on active projects, gaining real life experience from day one.

The program includes 40 hours per week, OSHA SST training (40 hours) paid by Monadnock, a boot stipend, and direct access to leadership. Internships lead to potential full-time opportunities after graduation.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the US.
• Active enrollment in an Engineering, Construction Management, or related program.
• Punctual and dependable; able to reliably commute to the jobsite daily.
• Strong time management with ability to manage multiple tasks and directions.
• Prior construction experience or internships and/or familiarity with Bluebeam or Procore is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support Field Engineer and Project Engineer deliverables on active NYC jobsites.
• Run project documents, permits and scopes in Procore.
• Own submittals and RFIs and coordinate with trades.
• Assist with site setup, permits and closeout.
• Participate in safety and coordination meetings as needed.
