Job summary

A growing general contractor in New York City is seeking an experienced Estimator to develop detailed cost estimates for various commercial projects. You will analyze drawings and specifications, solicit pricing, and coordinate with project teams. The ideal candidate has previous estimating experience with a general contractor, strong understanding of construction methods, and excellent communication skills. This position offers a competitive salary of up to $150K plus full benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous estimating experience with a general contractor.
• Strong understanding of construction means & methods.
• Comfort reading plans, specs, and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects.
• Analyze drawings, specs, and RFPs to build bids.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing.
• Coordinate scopes with project managers and design teams.
