Job summary

Certified of NY Inc. in New York City is seeking a Construction Assistant Superintendent to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of construction-related experience in assistant or field supervision roles and be comfortable managing day-to-day field operations on active NYC projects. Reporting to the Director of Construction or Project Executive, you will coordinate subcontractors, monitor safety, maintain schedules, review drawings, and help close out projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years of construction experience in a supervisory role.
• Experience on NYC projects strongly preferred.
• NYC Construction Superintendent license preferred, but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and project schedules.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of safety requirements and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily management and supervision of site activities.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
• Help maintain project schedules and ensure milestones are met.
• Monitor workmanship and ensure compliance with plans and specs.
• Identify field issues and help resolve them before impacting schedule.
• Maintain a safe, organized jobsite and safety compliance.
• Participate in coordination meetings and communicate progress to management.
• Coordinate inspections, deliveries, manpower, and site logistics.
• Review drawings and specifications and flag conflicts.
• Maintain daily reports, site documentation, photographs, and records.
• Assist with punch lists and project closeout.
• Build productive relationships with subcontractors, PMs, consultants, clients and stakeholders.
