Job summary

PrideNow, a Pride Global light industrial staffing division, is seeking a Hardware Designer 1 to drive mechanical hardware design using Siemens NX. The role emphasizes DFMA, sheet metal and machined parts, and close collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams.

The candidate should have extensive NX experience, Teamcenter PLM familiarity, and a track record of delivering manufacturable designs across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of mechanical hardware design experience.
• Experience with DFMA philosophy and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Performs CAD and mechanical design including DFMA and DFA.
• Creates and maintains 3D designs and assemblies using NX.
• Investigates and selects off-the-shelf components as appropriate.
• Manages CAD assemblies for projects and teammates.
• Interprets engineering drawings and specifications.
• Designs sheet metal and machined parts with manufacturability in mind.
• Troubleshoots material, process, and part-related issues.
• Collaborates with engineering, manufacturing and cross-functional teams.
• Contributes to inspection activities and failure analysis.
• Supports design changes and engineering documentation throughout product lifecycle.
• Uses Teamcenter PLM to support engineering data and lifecycle activities.
