Job summary

Pride Global is seeking a Hardware Designer / Mechanical Designer for additive manufacturing and rapid prototyping. You will leverage Siemens NX to design sheet metal and machined components, create assemblies, and produce engineering documentation while collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and product teams.

The role emphasizes hands-on NX work, process optimization for AM, and documentation development to support manufacturing and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical/hardware design, manufacturing, or additive manufacturing experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Siemens NX 3D CAD is required.
• Current/recent professional NX experience or at least 2+ years of prior NX experience.
• Solid mechanical design experience with sheet metal and machined components.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, specs, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience supporting prototype development, manufacturing, testing, or process improvement.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support additive manufacturing processes and technologies (3D printing, rapid prototyping, direct digital manufacturing).
• Evaluate material, process, and design interdependencies to optimize AM solutions.
• Apply 3D CAD, solid modeling, and CAE methods to support product development.
• Create and modify mechanical designs, models, assemblies, and documentation.
• Design components and assemblies, particularly sheet metal and machined parts.
• Interpret drawings, specs, and manufacturing requirements.
• Troubleshoot material, process, and part-related issues; address defects and porosity.
