Job summary

SpaceX seeks a CNC Programmer for the Starlink program, leveraging NX CAD/CAM/CAE to program complex CNC parts. The role requires experience with carbide tools, Vericut, and setting up multi-axis milling and turning operations. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 3+ years CNC programming experience in NX.
• 5+ years CNC programming experience in NX (preferred).
• Experience with graphite electrode programming.
• Experience with programming and operating multi-axis mill and lathe CNC machines.
• Experience with tool & die application involving complex surfacing and contours.

Responsibilities

• Use of NX CAD/CAM/CAE program to program CNC parts.
• Vericut NC files and maintain revision control on programs and setup sheets.
• Knowledgeable of carbide tools and adjusting speed and feed parameters for maximum tool life.
• Suggest drawing changes to improve manufacturability.
• Machine fixture tooling as directed by process sheets.
• Machine set up and operation.
• Meet productivity and production goals.
• Keep products moving and alert management when production is inhibited.
• Provide ideas for process improvements.
