Job summary

INNOVIM is seeking a Scientific SME to support NOAA ProTech Weather Agile Program and Project Management Services. The role is part-time and on-call, contingent upon contract award, with duties focused on readiness evidence and transition assessment.

The expert will provide technical reach-back to the program-management team, advise on NWP concepts (MPAS/UFS, DA cycles, GPU refactoring) and help ensure credible progress toward operations without performing the underlying science or software

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related field.
• Five to seven years in a related subject area; able to lead or participate in a specialized work-group.
• Advanced degree preferred in business or management.

Responsibilities

• Readiness-review support; advise on stream-specific transition evidence.
• Interpret technical status so program artifacts reflect progress toward operations.
• Articulate and apply subject-area best practices; guide cross-area coordination.
• On-call engagement in joint readiness reviews and evidence assessments.
