Job summary

Protingent is seeking an NVMe Test Engineer for a contract in San Jose, CA. You will work in the NVMe Customer Qualification team, executing and debugging OEM drive qualification tests on NVMe SSDs.

The role requires Linux, Python scripting, and experience with enterprise storage systems; familiarity with protocol analyzers such as LeCroy/SerialTek/Xgig is a plus. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Experience programming/scripting background in Python.
• Experience with SSD or HDD testing is a must.

Position Title: NVMe Test Engineer

Position Description: Protingent has an exciting contract opportunity for an NVMe Test Engineer to San Jose, CA.

Job Responsibilities:

• Test engineer in the NVMe Customer Qualification test team in our enterprise product division. Will work on NVMe Solid State Drives on execution and debug of OEM drive qualification tests. Understand test scripts and debug failures that arise during test execution with the development team.

Job Qualifications:

• Experience in NVMe/PCIe front-end storage protocol
• Experience in Linux OS environment.
• Experience programming/scripting background in Python
• Experience with SSD or HDD testing is a must.
• Must have experience with enterprise storage systems setup, testing and debugging.
• Familiar with one of the protocol analyzers like LeCroy, SerialTek, or Xgig.
• Experience with system or device-level performance analysis.

Job Details:

• Job Type: Contract
• Pay Rate: $75-80/hr.
