URBN is seeking an Alteration & Tailoring Specialist to repair and restore garments, using hand and machine sewing skills with a focus on quality and timeliness. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse setting at the Raymore, Missouri location.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and demonstrate strong organizational and communication abilities, alongside a willingness to take on diverse assignments and work overtime when needed.

Role Summary

A skilled Alteration & Tailoring Specialist possesses a background in tailoring coupled with a mastery of techniques aimed at restoring garments to their original quality. With a keen eye for detail, they focus on meticulously repairing garments to their intended appearance, demonstrating a sense of urgency to ensure timely completion. From minor fixes to more complex alterations, they adeptly utilize both hand sewing and machine sewing methods to address a diverse range of garment damages.

They are motivated team players with a positive attitude and possess good organizational and communication skills. Individuals should be able to function well in a multi-task environment with attention to detail, and willing to accept new and diverse assignments. They must be able to work with all organizational levels including fellow employees and management.

Role Responsibilities

• Proficient in a diverse range of hand-sewing techniques for various garment fixes

• Competent in basic math and computer skills essential for precise measurements and digital documentation

Role Qualifications

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk throughout a shift

• Operate warehouse equipment safely as required for the position
