Summary

The Nutritionist Assistant I assists the Nutrition Study Coordinator (NSC) in nutrition data collection and quality control of study procedures. Responsibilities include following SOPs, attending training, maintaining certifications, obtaining accurate data, and developing professional relationships with participants, families, staff, and faculty.

Minimum Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED, or 2 years of experience in lieu of a diploma/GED.

Preferred Education & Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (recommended).
• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist certification (recommended).

Responsibilities

• Bi-annual training and annual certification in nutrition-related procedures.
• Interacting with research participants and maintaining privacy and confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Performing and maintaining competencies in study procedures.
