Job summary

Rowntree Gardens is hiring a Nutritional Supervisor to join our Food Services Department in California. This full-time role ensures safe, accurate service of regular and therapeutic diets and oversees dining operations for residents in the health center.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of supervisory experience in long-term or healthcare settings, is ServSafe/CDM preferred, and holds a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• 1 year supervisor experience in long term or healthcare.
• Serve Safe and CDM preferred.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Positive interpersonal skills to efficiently deal with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and implements the nutritional care of the health center residents.
• Serves as a Trayline Supervisor by coordinating activities of workers or service employees engaged in the food operation, dining rooms, health care facility, and assisted living.
• Assists in ensuring a safe working environment throughout the department for all employees.
• Assists in monitoring employee productivity and provides suggestions for increased service or productivity.
• Visits residents for food preferences and assists residents with menu selections as needed
• Oversee the resident dining services to ensure quality control of food and clinical accuracy of the tray.
• Department Safety meetings to keep abreast of overall needs within the community and the department.
• Responsible for issuing fair and equitable disciplinary actions and performance reviews for immediate staff.
