The Nutritional Services Technician is accountable to provide all aspects of patient meal service. This individual is responsible for the preparation of hot and cold menu items for patient and cafeteria meals, as well as for special functions. The Nutritional Services Technician is accountable to have a fundamental understanding of prescribed diet information and food allergy protocols.

Responsibilities include:

1. Obtaining patient meal orders
2. Assembling trays
3. Communicating prescribed diets
4. Maintaining patient Kardex system
5. Other kitchen-related tasks
6. Opening and closing the cafeteria
7. Serving customers
8. Running the cash register
9. Receiving and putting away vendor orders

The Nutritional Services Technician must proficiently complete all required documentation and abide by all sanitation and food safety standards. It is also vital to display exceptional client service at all times.

Requirements:

1. PRN
2. 4:00 PM - 7:30 PM
3. Every Other Weekend and Holiday Required (Weekends include Saturday and Sunday)
4. High School Diploma or GED

This position works around areas and equipment of abnormal temperatures. It requires extensive standing and a full range of body motion including, but not limited to, standing, walking, sitting, hand and finger dexterity, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching with hands and arms, etc. Some heavy lifting is required.
