Job summary

AdventHealth Sebring is hiring a patient-focused Food Service Aide to prepare and serve meals in a hospital setting. You will follow standardized recipes, stock nursing pantries, deliver trays to patients, and maintain clean, organized workstations in a busy kitchen.

The role requires clear English communication, basic food safety knowledge, and a high school diploma. Prior food service experience is preferred; HAACP familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble hot and cold food items and beverages per recipes.
• Stock, rotate, and sanitize nursing pantries and bulk nourishments; maintain records.
• Serve meals on tray lines; record temperatures and deliver trays to patients.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, floors, and equipment.
• Operate dishroom equipment and cafe registers; process transactions; monitor sanitation data.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description

• Prepare and assemble hot and cold food items, including beverages, following standardized recipes and production requirements to ensure quality and consistency.
• Stock, rotate, and sanitize nursing pantries and bulk nourishments, maintaining accurate inventory records and billing documentation.
• Serve meals on tray lines, record food temperatures, and deliver trays to patients using proper identification protocols and isolation procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, floors, and equipment, using cleaning chemicals safely and effectively according to required concentrations.
• Operate dishroom equipment and café registers, process transactions accurately, and monitor sanitation logs and temperature records, taking corrective actions as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
