Job summary

AdventHealth in Sebring, FL is hiring for a Night Shift Environmental Services Technician. You will clean patient rooms, public areas, and restrooms, stock supplies, and follow infection-control procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

The role requires attention to detail, English communication, and basic computer skills; prior cleaning or healthcare environment experience is preferred. This is a full-time on-site position with full benefits.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of infection control and isolation procedures is required.
• Ability to maintain equipment and work areas clean and safe.
• English communication skills are required.
• Basic computer skills including Word and Excel are required.
• One year of technical experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned areas daily and manage trash disposal.
• Stock paper items and supplies in designated areas.
• Operate cleaning equipment and follow infection-control procedures.
• Document all cleaning tasks performed.
• Train staff, address concerns, and resolve problems as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Hours: 3pm-11:30pm including every other weekend

Cleans assigned areas daily, including collecting and removing trash, changing bed linens, and sanitizing all surfaces.

Stocks paper items and other supplies in assigned areas as necessary or designated.

Demonstrates a complete knowledge of infection control, isolation procedures, and proper operation of cleaning equipment.

Documents all work that has been performed.

Stocks cart daily with paper products and cleaning solution.

Cleans patient rooms, public areas, restrooms, offices, and ancillary rooms in assigned areas.

Collects and disposes of trash in an appropriate manner.

Collects and stages soiled linen for pick up.

Performs cleaning tasks such as sweeping, dust mopping, damp mopping, high dusting, wall washing, scrubbing, bed making, and vacuuming.

Disposes of normal and biohazardous waste.

Trains employees, addresses concerns, and resolves problems.

Includes validation of Associate expectations and accountability of front-line team members.

Other duties as assigned.

• Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field [Required]
