Nutition Services Aide for Auburn Village School
This position is 6 hours per day, 181 days per year and offers sick and personal time.
Starting pay is $15.00 per hour.
Monday - Friday, 7:30 to 2:00
POSITION GOAL:
To enhance student achievement by assisting in the preparation of planned, nutritional meals served in a pleasant, sanitary manner.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification: N/A
- Experience: Experience in food preparation, kitchen equipment, and computer is helpful
- Criminal Record Check: Required per NH RSA 189:13-a
- Pre-Employment Medical Exam: Required per NH RSA 200:36 and 275:3
GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- 1. Demonstrate aptitude for successful fulfillment of assigned performance.
- 2. Such alternative to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- 1. Wear appropriate clothing in accordance with school/district policy, gloves, and hair net.
- 2. Follow NH Sanitation Code at all times.
- 3. Properly clean/sanitize equipment, work areas, and serving areas regularly.
- 4. Perform major periodic cleaning of refrigerators, ovens, storage areas, and food preparation stations.
- 5. Be conscientious about student allergies.
- 6. Report immediate problems, accidents, safety concerns to the Nutrition Services Director/Supervisor.
- 7. Assist with cooking and preparing meals on daily menu.
- 8. Assure food is of the best quality, appearance, and safe temperature before it is served.
- 9. Assure proper storage and/or disposal of of all unused food and supplies.
- 10. Serve students and staff in a consistent and pleasant manner.
- 11. Record students' accounts accurately and confidentially.
- 12. Follow proper cash handling procedures.
- 13. Prepare reports as needed for daily and weeklu ordering.
- 14. Maintain the highest standards of professionalism.
- 15. Demonstrate positive work habits by showing initiative, cooperation, dependability, efficiency, and productivity.
- 16. Follow guidelines of confidentiality as established by the school district.
- 17. Attend and participate in relevant training sessions, meetings, and profesisonal growth activities as requested/required.
- 18. Perform in a professional manner when interacting with students, parents, faculty, administration, and co-workers.
