Job summary

SAU 15 at Auburn Village School is seeking a Nutrition Services Aide to support meal preparation and service in a clean, sanitary environment. The position runs 6 hours daily, 181 days per year, with starting pay of $15.00 per hour, Monday through Friday from 7:30 to 2:00.

Responsibilities include following the NH Sanitation Code, assisting with cooking and serving, monitoring allergies, and maintaining records and cash handling as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification: N/A.
• Experience in food preparation, kitchen equipment, and computer is helpful.
• Criminal Record Check required by NH RSA 189:13-a.
• Pre-Employment Medical Exam required by NH RSA 200:36 and 275:3.

Responsibilities

• Wear appropriate clothing, gloves, and hair net as per district policy.
• Follow NH Sanitation Code at all times.
• Clean and sanitize equipment, work areas, and serving areas regularly.
• Perform major cleaning of refrigerators, ovens, storage areas, and prep stations.
• Be mindful of student allergies.
• Report problems to Nutrition Services Director/Supervisor.
• Assist with cooking and meal preparation on daily menu.
• Ensure food quality, appearance, and safe serving temperatures.
• Properly store and/or dispose of unused food and supplies.
• Serve students and staff in a consistent, pleasant manner.
• Record students' accounts accurately and confidentially.
• Follow cash handling procedures and prepare daily/weekly reports.
