Overview

This role requires an outgoing personality and passion for sharing nutrition knowledge and inspiring people to achieve their health goals. You’ll work in a fast-paced retail setting conducting classes, private coaching, community outreach, and retail operations. As the store’s nutrition professional, you will serve as an educational resource providing science-based nutrition education to the store crew, customers, and community. This position is vital to Natural Grocers' mission to improve community health and promote a sustainable, regenerative food system.

Responsibilities

• Act as the nutrition education resource for customers, crew, and community.
• Assist customers with product purchases and provide educational support in the vitamin aisles.
• Perform retail operations such as stocking, facing, and maintaining educational materials.
• Provide nutrition education through classes, demonstrations, and outreach programs.
• Train and motivate crew members on nutrition services and store events.

Qualifications

• Degree or certification in nutrition or related field (e.g., dietetics, biology, biochemistry, naturopathy).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent public speaking and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage customers and promote store services.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Team player with a motivation to grow in nutrition education.

Maintaining Nutrition Knowledge

Maintain required continuing education credits as per certification requirements.
